Jiaoying Summers is a Chinese American comedian bringing her fearless humor to sold-out audiences around the world. Her 2026 Lucky Pony Tour has drawn sold-out crowds across Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America, including the United States and Canada. Born in China and based in Austin, Texas, Summers turns immigration, motherhood, marriage, and cultural expectations into deeply personal comedy with an unmistakable point of view.
Summers made history as the first Chinese comedian to headline and sell out New York’s iconic Apollo Theater. In 2026, she reached another milestone as the first Chinese female comedian to headline and sell out the Sydney Opera House’s Concert Hall. An Asian Hall of Fame inductee, she was also named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” in 2025.
Her debut stand-up special, What Specie Are You?, available on Hulu and Disney+, was named one of the best comedy specials of 2025 by the Los Angeles Times. Through her candid, darkly funny perspective, Summers explores race, identity, and the search for belonging. With more than five million followers and two billion social media views, she has built an international audience that extends beyond the stage. She also hosts Tiger Mommy, bringing her signature candor to conversations with fellow artists and entertainers.
A powerhouse stand-up comedian and entrepreneur, Summers bought her own comedy clubs in Los Angeles after her very first open mic. In her words: “I wanted to buy my own stage and F myself to the top.”
